Digital Resources for Alkira

Funding was provided to purchase computers for Alkira staff, to enable them to provide educational, social and emotional support to program participants and their families online, during the COVID 19 pandemic., when face to face programs were unable to be delivered..
This funding was critical to enable Alkira to increase support for people with intellectual disabilities during restrictions, lockdowns, and isolation. It provided a feeling of more normality for participants as they could continue education, receive support, and engage with their community of peers remotely.
