Sport and Life Training Education Programs.
Introducing Clubs with Heart -FREE programs available to our sporting clubs.
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Sport & Life Training (SALT).
SALT is a for-purpose, not-for-profit, health education charity. The SALT team is dedicated to creating sporting clubs and team environments that cater for both the competitive and personal development needs of young people through to older adults. Their vision is to create ‘Clubs with Heart’ right across Australia. These will be club environments that provide and promote physical and emotional safety for all people, and communities that are positive, competitive, resilient, and connected.
Together, we understand the importance and impact of sporting clubs – they are often the heart and soul of their communities. They bring together people that share a passion to excel and develop. The role clubs can play in improving mental health and overall wellness of their members and supporters is significant.
SALT offer a range of highly effective, intercative, enjoyable education courses for sporting clubs. These sessions are aimed to facilitate openness and empower people to flourish and thrive. We are pleased to be able to offer these programs to our sporting clubs at no cost*.
How does it Work?
We have provided funds to SALT to facilitate 25 educational programs for our sporting clubs each year, for the next two years. Clubs must apply via the online application form. To be eligible to apply the club must be a customer of one of our Community Bank Inner East branches and be located in the local area. As there only a limited number of sessions we have funded, we encourage clubs to apply as soon as possible. Clubs can apply for one program initially to allow as many clubs as possible to benefit from this partnership. Details on the programs offered can be found on the SALT website.
