Scholarships to fuel success and support talented individuals.

There are exceptional students in our community who are disadvantaged by their financial and family situations. Together with Education Chances, we have provided scholarships for 45 students attending local secondary schools. These scholarships provide students not only with financial assistance but a growth mindset and a motivation to pursue and achieve their potential. These scholarships close the gap on educational attainment by providing support to talented and motivated young people experiencing financial hardship.
The grant funding we have received speaks volumes about the commitment of the members of the Community Bank board to making a positive impact on education and empowering the next generation. It helps to further advance our mission to provide educational opportunities to young people who need it most, continuing to create a ripple effect of change, breaking down barriers and opening doors for young people in Boroondara to realise their full potential. We also provided a scholarship to a student nurse studying at Swinburne University. A student who receives a scholarship is empowered to work harder and they are always immensely proud that someone is prepared to back them. It is a powerful acknowledgment of support and their competence. In turn scholarship recipients, are likely to go on and help others.
Swinburne University is proud to partner with Community Bank Inner East. We are grateful for their support in funding a scholarship that has enormous community impact. Swinburne University.
